About The Position

The Orthopaedic Center is looking for highly motivated Physical Therapists for multiple locations across Alabama. This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. The Physical Therapist will examine, plan, and administer physical therapy treatments to patients referred by appropriate professionals. This role involves comprehensive patient evaluation, developing treatment plans with goals and reevaluations, performing and modifying treatment programs, supervising support staff, documenting patient progress, managing charging and productivity data, communicating with physicians and other disciplines, and managing secondary responsibilities. Effective communication with patients, TOC physicians, and staff is essential.

Requirements

  • Current Physical Therapy License in the state of Alabama.
  • CPR certified.
  • Masters or Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work with all patients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Outstanding organizational and writing skills.
  • Independent, self-starting and highly motivated.
  • Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude in work history.

Responsibilities

  • Interpreting practitioner’s referrals and performing a complete patient evaluation.
  • Developing a thorough treatment plan to include goals, reevaluation, and discharge.
  • Performing treatment program, making modifications when necessary, and ongoing assessment of patient’s response to treatment.
  • Delegating and supervising support staff on appropriate portion of treatment plan, while being open to ideas and suggestions.
  • Documenting timely and appropriately on the patient’s progress and treatment outcomes, in addition to patient/family education.
  • Efficiently performing all duties related to the charging system and recording of individual productivity data.
  • Designating or establishing written and/or oral communication with physician and other disciplines.
  • Managing secondary responsibilities and assignments as assigned by supervisor.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff.
