About The Position

The Physical Therapist assesses, plans, evaluates, and implements care for patients assigned to physical therapy. The role is responsible for adhering to all standards of the Physical Therapy Practice Act when providing technical therapy care, supplies, equipment, and interventions to a designated patient population.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• LPT license in the state of employment required.
• BLS required.

Nice To Haves

• Doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather pertinent data from charts and other caregivers, discussing findings with a physician as necessary.
• Independently assess assigned patient types.
• Recognize additional needs during evaluation and use sound judgment when requesting, scheduling, or performing additional testing.
• Interpret results and formulate relevant, measurable, realistic, and attainable goals.
• Reassess patient progress regularly according to department and regulatory policy, or when needed.
• Identify appropriate equipment and discuss it with the patient and family.
