About The Position

Adena Rehabilitation Services is seeking a casual Physical Therapist to support patient care at Adena Regional Medical Center (ARMC). The primary focus is consistent weekend coverage in the acute hospital setting, especially full-day Saturdays, with Sunday coverage depending on patient volume and department needs. There may also be weekday coverage opportunities in acute care or outpatient therapy. Experience in outpatient adult and/or pediatric therapy is a plus but is not required. The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients, collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team, supports safe discharge planning, and provides interventions that promote mobility, function, and recovery. This flexible casual role offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative hospital environment and to meaningful community healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients in the acute care hospital setting.
Provide weekend therapy coverage, primarily on Saturdays and on Sundays as patient volume requires.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
Assist with discharge recommendations and communicate with the care team.
Promote safe mobility, functional progression, and patient-centered rehabilitation.
Document care in accordance with department, regulatory, and billing standards.
Provide weekday support in acute care or outpatient therapy as needed and appropriate.
Potentially cover outpatient adult and/or pediatric therapy needs based on demonstrated competence.
Provide assistant supervision.
