Requirements

  • Current Idaho PT license in good standing.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Organized, self-starter who enjoys working with the geriatric population.
  • Ability to supervise a PTA.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience in a skilled nursing facility.
  • If you are a caring, passionate, licensed therapist who loves working with older adults, we would still love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Float between 2-3 of our skilled nursing facilities, depending upon your availability: Oak Creek Rehab in Kimberly, Desert View Care Center in Buhl, Twin Falls Transitional Care Center, Lincoln County Care Center in Shoshone.
  • Evaluate patients and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Occasionally treat clinically complex patients.
  • Perform gait training and therapeutic exercise programs.
  • Provide balance training and fall-prevention interventions.
  • Complete wheelchair and equipment assessments.
  • Perform and assisting with all types of transfers.
  • Educate patients and families on safety and mobility strategies.
  • Supervise a PTA.
  • Collaborate closely with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • If you'd like additional support with any competencies, we are happy to provide training and mentorship.
