About The Position

Arcetyp LLC is hiring a Physical Therapist to provide onsite services at Yokota Air Base in Japan. The role delivers comprehensive physical therapy within the facility’s available personnel, supplies, and equipment, and includes physician-extender duties, direct patient care, and clinic administration. The therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats neuromusculoskeletal disorders, exercises independent professional judgment, and refers patients with serious illness or trauma to an orthopedic surgeon or other primary care provider as appropriate. An orthopedic surgeon is the designated supervising physician; general administrative and policy direction is available from the Chief of Physical Therapy. The position provides care to patients ranging from toddlers to older adults, including patients with physical disabilities and neuromusculoskeletal dysfunctions. The therapist assesses patient needs and functioning, develops and modifies treatment plans, delivers individual or group treatment, monitors progress, educates patients and families, coordinates care with other providers, and documents outpatient care in AHLTA within 24 hours. The role also includes teaching and supervising physical therapy assistants, students, and Red Cross volunteers; serving as a primary clinical instructor; and contributing to interdisciplinary evaluations, staff education, and patient education. Administrative duties include supporting clinic operations and, in the Chief’s absence, potentially serving as acting Officer-In-Charge. The therapist maintains patient and equipment records, supports training and peer reviews, updates clinic operating instructions and treatment protocols, assists with equipment and supply planning, and participates in quality assurance, risk management, and other clinic activities. The position requires maintaining professional credentials and coordinating time across patient-care and administrative responsibilities. Work is performed primarily in an outpatient physical therapy clinic and may also take place in an office building, fitness center or gym, or pool at Yokota AB. The clinic uses electrical, ultrasound, and thermo-dynamic equipment. The role requires normal safety precautions for a health-clinic setting and use of gloves, gown, mask, and approved sterile technique when working with open wounds or contagious diseases. Applicants must be U.S. citizens. The company hires direct W-2 employees and does not accept 1099, staffing-firm, or corp-to-corp candidates; H-1B sponsorship is unavailable.
