About The Position

Inova Physical Outpatient Therapy Center in Woodbridge is seeking an outpatient Physical Therapist for a PRN role. The center offers a 1:1 patient service model and mentorships, within a close, team-oriented culture. The work location is 14605 Potomac Branch Dr #200, Woodbridge, VA 22191.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.
• Virginia Physical Therapist licensure upon start or Physical Therapist compact privileges.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon start.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred.
• New graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Document evaluations clearly and completely, including all essential elements required by department policy.
• Complete daily progress notes documenting patient responses to treatment, performance, status relative to the treatment plan, and discharge needs or treatment summaries when needed.
• Complete discharge notes summarizing the course of treatment, progress toward goals, discharge needs, follow-up recommendations, and patient or family education.
• Document clearly, concisely, legibly, and within established timeframes to support continued treatment, payer interpretation, and reimbursement.
• Document evidence of patient and family or caregiver education.
• Contact families, physicians, or other healthcare team members in a timely manner to anticipate special needs and facilitate effective treatment plans.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
