About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Physical Therapists provide compassionate treatment and support during patients’ recovery. This full-time position is at Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus - Vic Village (Dennison Ave), with a weekday schedule. Compensation is $31–$54 per hour, depending on years of experience, and the position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time employment.

Requirements

Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
Certified BLS or completion of BLS certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Promote continuous quality improvement.
Teach and counsel patients and families.
Set goals and develop treatment plans.
Work cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient and family education, and adaptive equipment.
Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and PT and PTA students.
Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and modify treatment during sessions as needed.
Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
