The Physical Therapist will work with a diverse patient population in the Home Health Department, including medically compromised patients (CHF, COPD, DM, Cardiac), orthopedic and neurological conditions, dementia, and general weakness. Ages vary from early adulthood to geriatrics. The role involves general physical therapy skills such as patient evaluation, determining effective interventions, medical assessment, and development of care plans. The department team includes Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Occupational Therapists (OT), Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), Aides and Case Managers, and Medical Social Workers (MSW). The charting system used is EPIC. This position will cover the Southern Black Hills area, including Hot Springs, Custer, Edgemont, Hill City, Hermosa, and surrounding areas. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the current IRS standard mileage rates. Orientation is approximately 1 week and includes EPIC orientation, shadowing, and documentation processes. Operations are Monday through Friday with no weekend rotation. The office is closed on six major holidays. Time off approval is managed by supervisor approval. Any color of scrub is acceptable, or business casual attire (no denim or sweatpants). Free parking is available.
