Physical Therapist- Outpatient
About The Position
Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking full-time Physical Therapist for outpatient care. The therapist assesses patients’ strengths and weaknesses and develops creative, effective treatment plans. The clinics provide a well-trained support staff and state-of-the-art space and equipment. Candidates at all experience levels are encouraged to apply, and training is available for the right new graduate. The role includes evaluating patients’ physical therapy needs, providing care based on physician care plans and professional standards, and instructing family members and other caregivers in appropriate therapy techniques.
Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist in New York or eligible for licensure.
- First Aid certification.
- AED certification.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ need for physical therapy and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide care and treatment based on the physician care plan, agency policy, and professional standards of care.
- Instruct family members, PTAs, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques.
