About The Position
The Physical Therapist provides and directs Physical Therapy services to guests, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication, and works under physicians’ orders. The role is part of a team-centered environment focused on individualized, person-centered treatment plans, patient advocacy, evidence-based clinical practices, holistic care, continuity of care, and supportive surroundings.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved educational program in Physical Therapy.
- Possess a valid state license.
- Ability to interact well with patients, family members, physicians, supervisors, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Screen patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms.
- Diagnose movement dysfunction and develop a treatment plan.
- Provide guidance and direction to Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs).
- Teach patients how to properly use therapeutic exercise techniques.
- Maintain patient records and track goals and progress.
- Advise patients and their families about in-home treatment options and exercises.
- Provide and direct Physical Therapy services, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, documentation, and communication under physicians’ orders.
