Physical Therapist - Outpatient - License Required
About The Position
Direct Performance Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapist for their outpatient clinic in Virginia Beach, VA. This position is available for full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (20 hours/week over 2 weekdays). The ideal candidate will be personable with good communication skills. New graduate Physical Therapists will receive comprehensive support and mentorship, including weekly sessions, continuing education opportunities, and structured programming. The role involves providing one-on-one patient care in a dynamic outpatient orthopedic setting for all ages, with a focus on general orthopedics, active adults, and athletes. Full-time therapists can expect to treat 40-44 patients per week, with initial evaluations lasting one hour and treatment sessions 40-45 minutes. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, with no weekend or major holiday requirements, and offers schedule flexibility.
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (or equivalent standing).
- State license as a Physical Therapist (eligible for VA state licensure).
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Full-time preferred (40 hours per week available).
- Part-time candidates with 20 hours over 2 weekdays of availability will also be considered.
Nice To Haves
- Prior outpatient ortho experience is preferred.
- Personable with good communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a dynamic outpatient orthopedic setting.
- Serve patients of all ages, with a focus on general orthopedics, active adults, and athletes.
- Conduct initial evaluations (one hour) and treatment sessions (40-45 minutes).
- Provide one-on-one patient care without the use of aides or assistants.
- Participate in a mentorship program (for new graduates) including weekly sessions, continuing education, and structured programming.
- Engage in monthly clinical education classes.
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
