Physical Therapist Inpatient
About The Position
The Physical Therapist works in the inpatient department at Ascension Alexian Brothers Rehabilitation Hospital in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The role establishes, revises, and evaluates patient-centered plans of care in partnership with patients and/or their families. The therapist provides clinical treatments across diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, oncology, intensive care, cardiac, and pulmonary conditions, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams on care plans and discharge recommendations, and performs appropriate physical therapy interventions. The schedule is day shift, PRN, with a minimum weekend and holiday requirement.
Requirements
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
- Physical Therapy license credentialed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation before hire or job transfer. A valid license-pending letter is accepted until the license is issued.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Nice To Haves
- Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
- One year of inpatient experience.
Responsibilities
- Establish, revise, and evaluate an effective, patient-centered plan of care involving the patient and/or family.
- Advance clinical treatments across orthopedic, neurological, oncology, ICU, cardiac, and pulmonary diagnoses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish plans of care and discharge recommendations.
- Perform therapy interventions using standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate to the patient's condition.
