Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent legacy degree (MSPT/MPT/BPT) from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Current Virginia Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Passion for delivering patient-centered outpatient rehabilitation services.
  • Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions to help patients achieve their functional goals.
  • Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, patients, and caregivers to ensure coordinated care.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation using technology designed to streamline clinician workflows.
  • Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, functional training, and patient education.
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress to the Physical Therapist.
  • Assist patients in achieving improved mobility, strength, function, and independence.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support an exceptional patient experience.
