About The Position

Optimal Physical Therapy is seeking 2 full time Pelvic Health Physical Therapists with a clinical interest and passion in Pelvic Rehab/Women's and Men's Health to join our growing team of Pelvic Health PT specialists who have a combined 30+ years of experience. Optimal Physical Therapy opened in 2011 and is an outpatient private practice, owned and operated by physical therapists, serving the Amarillo Metro and Texas Panhandle. Optimal has grown to two locations, with the newest, custom designed location housing the pelvic health team. Optimal emphasizes personalized, hands-on treatments and fosters a very family-oriented environment for our patients. We continue to experience tremendous growth in all our programs but especially Pelvic Health. This is an excellent career opportunity for a physical therapist who wants to join a well-established Pelvic Rehab and Women's Health program. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum
Current CPR Card
State Physical Therapy licensure
At least one year of clinical experience treating Women's Health and Pelvic Rehab cases
Completion of Pelvic Floor Level 1 & 2 training thru the APTA Women's Health Section, Herman & Wallace or similar
New grads must have completed a minimum of a Level 1 Pelvic Rehab course and clinical internship with experience in providing direct internal assessment and treatment in Pelvic Rehab/Women's and Men's Health.
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with both patients and physicians.
Strong organizational skills
Computer experience in windows, spreadsheets, and word processing preferred.

Nice To Haves

Prior orthopedic and sports medicine experience
Proficiency in manual therapy interventions to the spine, hip and pelvic girdle
Experience and prior coursework in treating pregnancy related MSK dysfunction

Responsibilities

Treating Women's Health and Pelvic Rehab cases
Providing direct internal assessment and treatment in Pelvic Rehab/Women's and Men's Health
Treating pre- and post-partum diagnoses, pelvic pain, painful bladder syndrome/IC, urinary incontinence, hip labrum pathology, SIJ dysfunction, colorectal conditions/chronic constipation, pain after hernia repair, pelvic organ prolapse, and diastasis recti management.
Participating in and monitoring patient care activities.
Accurately documenting information for billing purposes.
