About The Position

The Physical Therapist designs and implements individualized treatment programs to maximize patient functional independence and quality of life. This role includes evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans and modifying interventions as needed to achieve optimal outcomes. The therapist assesses and treats patients with cancer-related disabilities, delivering specialized, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include providing education and instruction to patients and caregivers to support therapy participation and safe discharge planning, as well as documenting all interventions and communications with healthcare professionals in a timely and accurate manner. The Physical Therapist also participates in ongoing educational and professional development programs and may supervise physical therapy clinical interns and physical therapy assistants as required. Starting hourly rate is $38.77. The listed pay rate is the potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Requirements

  • License to practice as a physical therapist in the State of New York.
  • Doctorate degree from an approved physical therapy program; or Master’s degree from an approved physical therapy program and the equivalent of one (1) year of full time experience in physical therapy or a related field; or Bachelor’s degree from an approved physical therapy program and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in physical therapy or a related field.
  • Experience in outpatient setting
  • Certified in and/or willing to be trained in Pelvic Floor Therapy
  • Strong written/communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
