About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is looking for a Physical Therapist specializing in pelvic health to join our La Crosse therapy team. This role involves examining, evaluating, diagnosing, prognosing, and intervening in all complexities of pelvic floor conditions to develop personalized treatment plans for optimal outcomes in pelvic rehabilitation. Pelvic rehabilitation is a non-surgical approach to address dysfunctions related to the bowel and bladder, pregnancy or postpartum status, sexual health, and pain. The Physical Therapist will collaborate with referring providers and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care through effective communication and treatment. Treatment approaches are often multi-faceted and tailored to the patient's specific concerns and dysfunctions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved curriculum in Physical Therapy
  • State of Wisconsin Physical Therapist License
  • Current Infant-Adult BLS for Health Care Providers from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Must be credentialed with Gundersen prior to starting

Nice To Haves

  • Board certification in pelvic floor therapy desired but not required.
  • Ability and experience in treating all complexities of pelvic floor conditions preferred.
  • Physical Therapist board-certified in pelvic health is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Examining, evaluating, diagnosing, prognosing, and intervening in all complexities of pelvic floor conditions.
  • Developing personalized treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes in the pelvic rehabilitation of patients.
  • Collaborating with referring providers and other clinical staff in providing optimal patient care through appropriate and timely methods of communication and treatment.
  • Utilizing multi-faceted treatment approaches chosen to assist patients in remedying their concern/presenting dysfunction.
