About The Position

This is a full-time Outpatient Pelvic Health Physical Therapist position located at the Marsh Brook clinic in Somersworth, NH. The role requires two evening shifts per week, working until clinic close (6:00 pm Monday–Thursday; 5:00 pm Fridays) or Saturday coverage (8a-12pm). The clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate therapist to join a collaborative team of highly trained pelvic health professionals, prioritizing high-quality, 1:1 patient care. The position is responsible for planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. It also involves supervising PTAs and training new staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy
  • Physical Therapist [NH license] - Required
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - AHA - within 14 days of hire
  • Experience working as a physical therapist in a hospital, rehab or Ambulatory setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems.
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Teaching others how to do something.
  • Excellent problem solving, case management and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years preferred experience working as a physical therapist in a hospital, rehab or Ambulatory setting

Responsibilities

  • Establishes therapy goals and formulates a treatment plan based on evaluation results.
  • Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.
  • Provides individual, family and group therapy sessions for clients engaged in outpatient therapy.
  • Participates in the interdisciplinary group for hospice patients and the case conference meetings for home health patients.
  • Participates in discharge planning.
  • Provides initial assessment of clinical needs using standardized tools and protocols and facilitate recommendations for treatment.
  • Records all pertinent data in the patient’s medical records.
