About The Position

This position is for an Outpatient Physical Therapist specializing in Pelvic Health. The role involves evaluating and treating patients according to established physical therapy standards, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing excellent patient and family education. The therapist will also participate in educational programs and student education. The ability to provide age-appropriate care is essential, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and the skills to assess and interpret patient status based on age-specific needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy Required.
  • License to practice in Connecticut
  • Entry-level clinical skills in physical therapy evaluation and treatment.
  • Excellent written and verbal command of the English language.
  • Three Months (This appears to be a duration, possibly for a specific skill or training, but is listed under Special Skills)
  • Experience in treating patients with pelvic health diagnosis.
  • Must be able to cover acute care services 1 weekend day a month.

  • Evaluates and treats patients commensurate with experience and within the scope of standards and procedures of the practice, keeping service excellence as a main priority.
  • Keeps appropriate timely documentation of services rendered in line with hospital and regulatory agencies policies, procedures and standards.
  • Provides positive, supportive communication and education to patients and families.
  • Participates in educational programs to maintain professional development.
  • Participates in student education.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures.
