The Orthopedic Residency at Mountain Land Physical Therapy is designed for practicing clinicians seeking advanced orthopedic education and 1:1 clinical mentorship. This program aims to develop highly skilled, evidence-based practitioners and future leaders in the physical therapy profession. Residents will integrate the best available evidence into patient care, collaborate with experienced mentors, and prepare for the Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) examination. The residency involves 32 clinical hours per week with mentorship and 8 hours for didactic learning, with schedules balancing patient care, coursework, mentorship, and professional growth. Specialty experiences include orthopedic surgical observation, physician clinic collaboration, EMG observation, and musculoskeletal ultrasound training. Residents will also complete leadership, service-based, and research projects, and attend monthly spine rounds, in-services, and conferences.
