About The Position

The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) provides quality rehabilitation services to those facing life-changing injuries or illness, specializing in brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and complex medical conditions. The Physical Therapist (PT) Inpatient position is responsible for providing Physical Therapy services to an inpatient and/or outpatient population aged 15 and older. This includes evaluation, evidence-based intervention, equipment recommendations, and modality application, all under the referral of a physician or qualified non-physician practitioner.

Requirements

• Must possess a Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.
• Physical Therapist IN state license required.
• Must have current CPR certification in accordance with AHA standards or be able to obtain within 4 weeks of start date.

Nice To Haves

• 1-year experience with adult physical rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers PT evaluations to inpatients and outpatients and determines appropriate treatment programs and/or equipment needs, integrating age specific needs and issues for physical medicine rehabilitation population.
• Develops a patient-centered treatment plan based upon the evaluation, patient goals and age-related issues/needs to optimize treatment and function.
• Ensures the treatment plan supports medical necessity and incorporates evidence-based treatments and outcome measures.
• Revises/updates the treatment plan appropriately per policy, communicates it to appropriate team members including attendance at team conferences, and ensures it is reviewed and signed off by referring physician (as appropriate).
• Charges appropriately for services provided and appropriately documents outcome measures.
• Provides clinical supervision, including coordination of care and delegation of duties, to assistants, techs, and students according to state/federal regulations and hospital guidelines.
• Other duties as requested.
