Requirements

  • Associate's degree from a physical therapist assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
  • Current Florida Physical Therapy assistant (PTA) License
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Knowledge of therapy-related equipment and safety procedures
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Integrity, tact, and sound judgement
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, lift and carry children weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive our vehicles, as required, to drive and transport passengers for program-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)

  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) preferred
  • Pediatric experience... we will train! Mentorship provided

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans developed by supervising therapists
  • Provide quality therapy services to pediatric clients while supporting their developmental and functional goals
  • Document client progress, treatment outcomes, and billing information in accordance with program and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and related systems, including Office 365, Teams, and Outlook
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care
  • Assist with managing therapy equipment, including recommendations, ordering, and education for families and staff
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
  • Support clients across various Easterseals programs as needed
  • Protect client confidentiality and comply with all privacy and HIPAA requirements
  • Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous learning
