About The Position

NovaCare Rehabilitation in Fort Washington, MD is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic outpatient orthopedic team. We serve a diverse patient population across all age groups and abilities, with a strong reputation for delivering personalized, evidence-based care that helps individuals return to the activities they love. We offer a collaborative culture, diverse caseloads including orthopedic, neurological, concussion, and oncology (ReVital) cases, and patient-centered care with manageable caseloads. The position offers flexible scheduling with full-time hours (32–40/week) and two evenings per week until 7:00 PM. Your last patient is scheduled one hour before closing.

Requirements

Current Maryland PTA license
Passion for helping patients achieve their goals
At least one year of licensed experience treating outpatient orthopedics
College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
CPR certification

Responsibilities

Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
