About The Position

White Oak Medical Center Acute Care Therapy seeks to hire a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Requirements

Associate degree from accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required
Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Maryland Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure
Minimum of one year’s experience in fitness, hospital therapy, or other similar patient care area

Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the physical therapist.
Complete documentation related to patient care.
Analyze and manage patient information.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
Perform operational tasks in response to needs of the department.
Demonstrate efficient patient scheduling and rehab care management to maximize productivity; accurate and timely charge entry.
Maintain an environment conducive to patient care and patient/staff safety.
Perform principal duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the organization’s mission, vision, values and goals.
Contribute to clinical programming according to the needs of patients and the community.
