About The Position

White Oak Medical Center Acute Care Therapy seeks to hire a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Maryland Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure
  • Minimum of one year’s experience in fitness, hospital therapy, or other similar patient care area

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the physical therapist.
  • Complete documentation related to patient care.
  • Analyze and manage patient information.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
  • Perform operational tasks in response to needs of the department.
  • Demonstrate efficient patient scheduling and rehab care management to maximize productivity; accurate and timely charge entry.
  • Maintain an environment conducive to patient care and patient/staff safety.
  • Perform principal duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the organization’s mission, vision, values and goals.
  • Contribute to clinical programming according to the needs of patients and the community.
