About The Position

Select Physical Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for its outpatient orthopedic center in Clinton, Connecticut. The role provides personalized care to patients of all ages and abilities, helping restore function and support patients in returning to sports, work, and everyday activities. The center currently has one physical therapist and is looking to grow. The position involves providing patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist and implementing physical therapy services in accordance with applicable practice standards and company policies. The schedule is part-time or PRN, 10–15 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Compensation is $30–$40 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
Pass a national examination for PTAs certified by CAPTE.
Valid state physical therapist assistant license, or license in process.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as required by the State Practice Act.
Implement high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities with minimal supervision, following the principles and practices of physical therapy and Select Medical policies and procedures.
Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
