About The Position

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant for its outpatient orthopedic center in Clinton, Connecticut. The center provides personalized care to patients of all ages and abilities, helping them restore function and return to activities such as sports, work, and everyday life. The office currently has one physical therapist and is looking to grow. The position is part-time or PRN, approximately 10–15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with an hourly rate of $30–$40 based on experience. The Physical Therapist Assistant provides patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, implementing high-quality physical therapy services in accordance with the State Practice Act, professional principles and practices, and company policies and procedures. The role also involves maintaining positive interactions with patients and centers and developing client relations with centers and their staff.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by CAPTE.
Valid state physical therapist assistant license, or license in process.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as required by the State Practice Act.
Implement high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities with minimal supervision, in accordance with applicable practice principles and company policies and procedures.
Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
