Requirements

  • Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of patients including post-surgical knees, athletes, weekend warriors, and elderly individuals.
  • Willingness to provide hands-on care and individualized treatment.
  • New graduates start with a reduced caseload that builds over the first three months.
  • Must have direct access to the supervising physical therapist during treatment sessions.
  • Must participate in structured check-ins on shared patients.
  • Must have a say in how the plan of care progresses.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification support for specialties such as aquatic therapy, lymphedema, and other tracks open to PTAs.
  • Experience or interest in aquatic therapy and lymphedema treatment.
  • Experience or interest in balance and vestibular work, neurologic rehabilitation, or sports rehabilitation.
  • Interest in becoming a Lead PTA, clinical instructor for visiting PTA students, or cross-clinic float roles.

Responsibilities

  • Treat and work directly with patients.
  • Deliver hands-on care through the whole session.
  • Work from the plan of care with the evaluating physical therapist.
  • Complete documentation through Prompt EMR with AI-assisted notes.
  • Provide orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Conduct OP Home Visits (PT PLUS).
  • Perform aquatic therapy.
  • Engage in sports rehabilitation (Aquacare Athletics).
  • Provide balance and vestibular therapy.
  • Offer dance rehabilitation.
  • Conduct lymphedema treatment.
  • Provide neurological rehabilitation.
  • Offer pelvic floor therapy.
  • Provide women's health services.
