About The Position

NovaCare in Laurel, Maryland, is seeking per diem/ PRN Physical Therapist Assistants to help our outpatient orthopedic population achieve their recovery goals. This role is perfect for a licensed PTA with outpatient experience who values work-life balance. Our large team treats a diverse OP population, treating ortho, sports, and industrial diagnoses. We have several outpatient locations throughout PG County available for full-time, steady part-time, or as-needed/per diem coverage. Center Hours: 7 AM to 7 PM, with the last patient scheduled an hour before. We close at 3:30 P.M. on Fridays. No weekends.

Requirements

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (Per Diem)
• Must be licensed in MD to start.
• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
