About The Position

Pate Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their team. This is a great opportunity to be a critical member of the patient care team and provide valuable support to patients. Pate Rehabilitation, an affiliate of Rehab Without Walls, provides evidence-based physical, occupational, speech/language, and neurocognitive therapies, as well as vocational rehabilitation, to advance and accelerate patient recovery – helping individuals suffering from an acquired brain injury return to a high quality of life.

Requirements

• Associates degree from an accredited college or university required
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Texas required
• Must pass all pre-employment and employment verifications

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exercise, ambulation, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist
• Assist Physical Therapist in the execution of patient evaluations and complex treatment procedures
• Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by Physical Therapist
• Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
• Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the Physical Therapy Practice Ace and Code of Ethics
• Perform other duties as assigned
