Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) PRN
About The Position
NHC Milan is currently seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their team. This role involves providing treatment for inpatients with medically complex, orthopedic, or neurological conditions. The PTA is a skilled technical provider of physical therapy treatments and related duties, working under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist in accordance with state regulations. Requirements
- Must have an Associate’s Degree from an APTA accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
- Must have current Tennessee Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Must be a team player, flexible, and have a positive attitude
- Interested prn applicants must not be working at any other healthcare facility to be considered for employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services as directed by the physical therapist.
- Assist the physical therapist when performing tests and treatment procedures.
- Observe, record and report to the therapist, the conditions, reactions, and responses of patients.
- Assist the therapist in consulting with patients, family, and other health care professionals as appropriate.
- Assist the physical therapist with in-service programs or other duties as assigned by physical therapist.
- Maintain documentation according to procedures of the location served and assure that legal and third party reimbursement requirements are met.
- Assist with regular checks for safety, care, and cleaning of equipment and maintenance of safe, clean and professional work area and other related items as requested.
- Must be able to maintain patient information as confidential.
- Must be aware of the effects, consequences, and ramifications of treatment procedures.
