About The Position

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a talented Physical Therapy Assistant to support their physical therapy practice, which operates in conjunction with their orthopedic surgery practice. This role is crucial for expanding the physical therapy practice to serve the underserved. The ideal candidate will work alongside Physical Therapists to provide high-quality, personalized, and compassionate care tailored to the unique needs of patients of all ages.

Requirements

Physical Therapy Assistant License or pending license (Required)
Licensed PTA clinical: 1 year (Preferred)
Associate degree (Preferred)
Spanish language skills (Preferred)

Nice To Haves

2+ years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

Care delivery of patients within the scope of practice defined by state laws and the state Board of Physical Therapy.
Directly carries out day-to-day patient assignments with oversight and guidance from the Physical Therapist.
Conducts physical therapy care within the scope of practice, agency policies, and regulations.
Consistently follows company policies and procedures.
Maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, accreditation, and local standards, rules, and regulations.
Participates in personal professional growth and development.
Participates with the interdisciplinary team to assure coordination of care and continuity of care delivery.
Reports all changes to patient findings to the Physical Therapist, as well as the physician where applicable.
Other duties as assigned.
