About The Position

In this setting, you will work with Medicare Part B patients in Assisted Living and Independent Communities, allowing you to follow patient progress over time and focus on improving independence, mobility and quality of life. Requirements

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or license eligible in the state of practice
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
Interest or experience in geriatric rehabilitation or senior living therapy
Passion for patient-centered care and improving quality of life for older adults

Responsibilities

Deliver hands-on treatments to residents in Assisted Living & Independent Living Communities under the direction of a Physical Therapist
Carry out established care plans focused on mobility, safety, and functional independence
Lead engaging therapy sessions using therapeutic exercise, functional mobility, balance activities, and manual techniques
Help patients improve strength, balance, and overall quality of life
Collaborate with care teams, staff, and caregivers to achieve strong patient outcomes
Document treatments and patient progress in accordance with established care plans
