About The Position
PAM Health is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for its new Dallas rehabilitation hospital. The PTA will provide care to a diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital care. The role may suit someone with prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment to learning in that setting. Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, the PTA is primarily responsible for direct patient care and for planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients in accordance with Physical Therapy principles and PAM Health practices. The PTA will also contribute to the further development of services and must be flexible to meet system needs across different facilities.
Requirements
- PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to Physical Therapy principles and PAM Health practices.
- Contribute to the further development of services.
- Remain flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
