About The Position

Nightingale Visiting Nurses is hiring a full-time or part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to serve patients in Fall River and surrounding areas. The PTA provides therapy services planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist, helping patients regain mobility and function through compassionate, one-on-one care in a home health setting. Pay is per visit, starting at $50 per visit. The position is based in the field and requires travel to patient homes, as well as attendance at a three-day orientation at the Taunton office.

Requirements

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Massachusetts.
• Current physical examination completed within the last 12 months.
• Current TB test completed within the last 12 months and CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to attend a three-day orientation at the Taunton office.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of PT/PTA experience is preferred.
• Experience with OASIS and WellSky (Kinnser) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement the Plan of Care established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Prepare accurate daily progress notes for treatments provided, for review and signature by the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Submit visit records and documentation in a timely manner.
• Attend required in-service and on-the-job training sessions.
• Follow Nightingale’s established policies and procedures.
