About The Position

PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) needed to support multiple skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities throughout the Cincinnati, Ohio market. Opportunities are available in various locations including North Central Cincinnati/I-75 Corridor, Mt. Airey/College Hill, Mt. Healthy/Springfield Township, West Side/Delhi Area, and Loveland. Candidates will be placed in facilities that align with their preferences, scheduling availability, and geographic convenience. The role involves helping residents regain strength, mobility, balance, and independence through individualized therapy programs to improve safety and quality of life.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the State of Ohio
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and meet productivity expectations

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled physical therapy treatments based on the plan of care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, function, positioning, and overall quality of life
  • Communicate patient progress, concerns, and recommendations with the supervising Physical Therapist, nursing staff, physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Participate in care planning, interdisciplinary team meetings, and discharge planning under the supervision of the Physical Therapist
  • Complete timely, accurate treatment documentation, progress notes, daily billing, and discharge-related documentation
  • Educate patients, families, and facility staff on restorative and functional maintenance programs
  • Participate in facility in-service training and educational programs
  • Recommend appropriate equipment and interventions to support patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements, company policies, and professional standards
  • Support a culture of clinical excellence, professionalism, and compassionate patient-centered care
