About The Position

This role is for a Physical Therapist Assistant in an Inpatient setting at Ascension Via Christi, Rehabilitation Hospital. The position involves creating individualized treatment plans, evaluating patient conditions through comprehensive assessments, performing evidence-based therapy interventions to improve patient mobility, and leading/mentoring support personnel. The goal is to empower patients and their families to achieve their recovery goals and enhance their overall quality of life.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

Create individualized treatment plans that empower patients and their families to achieve their specific recovery goals.
Evaluate patient conditions through comprehensive assessments to ensure every clinical intervention is tailored to their unique needs.
Perform evidence-based therapy interventions to improve patient mobility and enhance their overall quality of life.
Lead and mentor support personnel, including assistants and students, to maintain a high standard of collaborative care across the rehab team.
