About The Position

Discovery at Home is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Fort Myers, FL, to serve the Discovery Village Forum, Discovery Commons Cypress Point, and Lehigh Acres Place campuses. The PTA will primarily work within assisted and independent living communities, with some home visits possible within the community. The patient population is primarily geriatric, with most cases under Medicare Part A Home Health, along with some Part B. This is not an entry-level position, and applicants must be licensed PTAs from an accredited program. New grad PTAs will be supported and mentored.

Requirements

Eligible for FL state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Graduated from an accredited PTA program.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must have a current CPR certification.
Open to candidates who require sponsorship to work in the United States.
Must complete a Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida AHCA requirements, including fingerprinting and background screening through the AHCA Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in home health is preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve residents within assisted and independent living communities.
Conduct home visits within the community as needed.
Manage patient cases primarily under Medicare Part A Home Health and some Part B.
Hone skills with a supportive team.
Determine own caseload and work schedule.
