About The Position

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an ACGME fellowship-trained, BE/BC Spinal Cord Injury Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician to join the team at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton, Illinois, in Chicago’s western suburbs. The position is inpatient, with a focus on musculoskeletal conditions and spinal cord injury, including subspecialty certification in spinal cord injury. Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital provides intensive physical medicine and rehabilitation through a medically based, multidisciplinary approach to acute and chronic conditions. Additional opportunities may include EMG/NCS, consult services, and outpatient clinic work. The hospital’s specialty programs focus on stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, pediatric, orthopedic/musculoskeletal, pain, and neuromuscular disorders, and include high-tech neurorehabilitation. The physician may also work with residents. Northwestern Medicine offers competitive compensation and benefits in a physician-led work environment, as well as financial stability and administrative support. The stated salary range is $250,000 to $400,000 per year. The schedule is 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE), day shift.

Requirements

ACGME fellowship trained.
Board eligible or board certified in Spinal Cord Injury Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Subspecialty certification in Spinal Cord Injury is included in the position focus.

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation care, with a focus on musculoskeletal conditions and spinal cord injury.
Potentially participate in EMG/NCS, consult services, and outpatient clinic work.
Work with residents.
