Highline Academy is seeking a Physical Education Teacher for the Northeast Campus for the 2026-2027 school year. This role reports directly to the campus principal and is central to bringing the school's mission to life. Teachers are expected to care for the whole child, be excellent lesson planners, possess strong classroom management skills, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and families. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, a dedication to making a difference for each child, and a growth mindset. The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, with a 189-day work year that includes student contact days, professional development, and parent conference days. Teachers are expected on campus from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with an extended day until 4:30 pm on Fridays for professional development or planning. Two weeks of professional development are also required each summer. Highline Academy is committed to inclusive excellence, serving a diverse student population from various countries and backgrounds. The school offers a liberal arts education, including P.E., and provides robust support systems like Performance Groups and intervention programs for students needing additional help.
