Physical Education Instructor
About The Position
Euro School of Tennis is hiring reliable, energetic, and positive coaches to teach beginner-level programs to children ages 5–10 (Grades K–5) at schools throughout the Bay Area. The work is in person. The company provides lesson plans and equipment, and aims to create a fun, active, and supportive learning environment. Two program options are described. Regular coaching in tennis and other programs pays $18–$24 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, around 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, with back-to-back sessions available. Saturday tennis clinics pay $18–$24 per hour and are scheduled Saturdays and/or Sundays, also with back-to-back sessions available. These opportunities are for coaches who demonstrate strong tennis and coaching skills. Coaches must attend a two-day unpaid training/shadowing session, with sessions lasting 2–3 hours each.
Requirements
- Be at least 19 years old.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Have strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
- Be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Complete required employment screening and documentation.
- Provide a photo and short biography for the company website.
- Currently live in the Bay Area and be available for in-person work.
Nice To Haves
- Playing or coaching experience is preferred but not required.
- USPTA/PTR certification is a plus.
- Strong tennis and coaching skills for the available programs.
Responsibilities
- Teach classes using company lesson plans.
- Manage groups of 8–16 students.
- Create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Attend a two-day unpaid training/shadowing session, with 2–3 hours per session.
- Take attendance and manage student sign-in and sign-out.
- Communicate professionally with parents and school staff.
- Take a few class photos for program documentation.
