Physical Education Instructor
About The Position
Euro School of Tennis is hiring reliable, energetic, and positive Coaches to teach beginner-level programs for children ages 5–10 (Grades K–5) at schools throughout the Bay Area. This is in-person work. Lesson plans and equipment are provided, with the goal of creating a fun, active, and supportive learning environment for young players. Available programs include Regular Coach assignments in tennis and other programs, generally Monday–Friday around 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, and Saturday Tennis Clinics on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Back-to-back sessions may be available. These opportunities are available to coaches who demonstrate strong tennis and coaching skills. Pay is $18–$24 per hour. Coaches must attend a two-day unpaid training/shadowing session, with each session lasting 2–3 hours. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Requirements
- Must be at least 19 years old.
- Must enjoy working with children.
- Must have strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Must complete required employment screening and documentation.
- Must provide a photo and short biography for the company website.
- Must currently live in the Bay Area and be available for in-person work.
Nice To Haves
- Playing or coaching experience is preferred but not required.
- USPTA/PTR certification is a plus.
- Strong tennis and coaching skills are required for the listed program opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Teach classes using company lesson plans.
- Manage groups of 8–16 students.
- Create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Attend a two-day unpaid training/shadowing session, with 2–3 hours per session.
- Take attendance and manage student sign-in and sign-out.
- Communicate professionally with parents and school staff.
- Take a few class photos for program documentation.
