About The Position

Concentra is seeking a Physiatrist / Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist to provide on-site specialist care as a 1099 independent contractor. The role is intended to complement the physician’s current practice, typically involving approximately a four-hour shift weekly or biweekly, with flexible scheduling that considers the physician’s private practice. Compensation is determined through a revenue-share model.

Concentra Advanced Specialists help manage medically complex patients, expedite return to work, and support functional restoration. Working collaboratively with medical and therapy providers, the specialist provides services—including EMGs and NCS—for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. The role also involves communicating with employers and actively participating in case management.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform EMGs and NCS.
• Meet the licensure requirements of the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program at an accredited university.
• Hold an unrestricted DEA license for the state of jurisdiction.
• Board certified or board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Have medical malpractice insurance that covers work on site.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience treating patients with work-related injuries.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries, including EMGs and NCS.
