Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a beautiful and new state-of-the-art facility. As a joint venture with the Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, we will serve up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units and Partial Hospitalization Programming as we continue to open in 2026. More information about Southridge can be found online: https://southridgebh.com/ Position Description: The Float/Admisisons Registered Nurse coordinates and evaluates patient care inpatient and outpatient through collaborative efforts with the interdisciplinary team in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. Additionally the Float/Admissions nurse provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment to assist the physician in identification of appropriate level of care for potential patients. The role is the initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited professional nursing required.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
  • License: Registered Nurse RN license issued by the State of Michigan required.
