About The Position

As a Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) Researcher in the Laboratories, you will invent, develop, and validate integrated photonic technologies. You will apply integrated photonics expertise to propose, develop, and implement innovative, practical solutions to technically challenging problems. Initial work includes theoretical analysis, photonic device simulations, PIC layout, and PIC component measurements.

Requirements

• Completed Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Optics, or Physics.
• Demonstrated ability to perform innovative research in integrated photonics.
• Deep understanding of optical waveguide theory, including mode solving, confinement, polarization, and dispersion.
• Experience with PIC simulation, design, and layout.
• Extensive hands-on PIC component characterization experience.
