About The Position

The part-time Photography lab Technician is responsible for administrative and technical work involved in the receiving, inspecting, and issuing of film, video, photo, lighting, and AV equipment, materials, and supplies. Work includes circulating Educational Media equipment through WebCheckout, thorough testing of all equipment, cycle counting, and inventories. In addition, the Photography Lab Technician will be responsible for mixing and restocking chemicals in the photography facilities, ensuring the correct disposal and recycling of chemistry as per OSHA standards, maintaining and repairing lab equipment, and supervising facilities, student work-study monitors, and additional duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Vocational/Technical School or High School diploma/GED and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education.

Nice To Haves

  • Good communication and personal skills, including computer literacy.
  • Have ample experience with analog and digital cameras, including high-end digital photography and video equipment
  • Experience with analog photography equipment including medium format and 4x5
  • Experienced with lighting equipment including tungsten, LED, Strobe systems, digital printers and scanners.
  • Familiarity with Adobe CC suite including Photoshop, Premier, Lightroom, and Bridge.
