The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is creating a pool of qualified applicants for part-time Photography Instructor positions at any of its nine colleges for the 2026 academic year. The posting allows colleges to review applicants when openings arise; applicants to prior pools must apply again to remain under consideration. Applicants may indicate which colleges they are interested in, and qualified candidates may be interviewed by Photography/Media Arts and Technology department members at one or more colleges. Assignments depend on enrollment, funding, and class availability. The adjunct instructor should be prepared to teach any photography courses offered and promote engaging, inclusive educational environments that support student learning. The successful candidate will work professionally with students, staff, faculty, administrators, and community members, and demonstrate cultural responsiveness across diverse languages, nationalities, ethnicities, socioeconomic levels, ages, identities, abilities, and educational experiences. A commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse student population is strongly encouraged. Adjunct compensation begins at $86.85 per standard hour, with an office-hour differential of $20.32 per hour for classroom assignments. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential. Employment is contingent upon verification of qualifications. Employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption, and must provide vaccination status before or by their position start date.
