About The Position

AMSG is seeking a Photographer/Videographer (Hybrid Shooter) to support the Army’s MEDCOM in providing communications support services through the development of precision program support for Army Medicine Outreach. AMSG supports a diverse portfolio of programs across the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Washington Headquarters Service (WHS), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in photography or communications
Six years of photography/videography experience
US Citizenship
Trained on and use a contractor-furnished professional camera

Nice To Haves

Experience with cell phone camera and GoPro-like devices for content creation
Knowledge of Section 508 compliance standards

Responsibilities

Ability to capture compelling photographs; be adept at videography to include post-product competencies that will engage users and create an interactive relationship with stakeholders.
Must be trained on and use a contractor-furnished professional camera to capture high-resolution photographs and videos.
Should have the ability to capture, edit, and produce reel-type content on a cell phone camera and GoPro-like devices.
Thorough understanding of modern digital content development.
A good understanding of government regulations that pertain to the use of social media platforms.
Maintain job knowledge to capitalize on emerging trends in the industry.
