About The Position

Under the direction of store management, a Vistek Photo & Video Sales Consultant is responsible for serving the needs of our customers, meeting sales targets while providing a best-in-class customer service experience. You’ll have the opportunity to work with leading-edge photo and video products and technology to provide complete solutions to address customer needs and build a trusted advisor relationship with customers through ongoing communications and outreach on product and topics of interest. You’ll also participate in store events, ie. educational seminars, product overviews, and technical training sessions.

  • Sufficient assertiveness to be able to fulfil the sale and close

  • Detail oriented and accurate while multi-tasking
  • Presents a professional image to match the Vistek brand
  • Able to lift 30 lb. (13.6 kg)
  • 1 or more years working in a professional photo and/or video environment
  • Graduate of a recognized post-secondary photographic, video or related program, or relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of top brands within the photo and video industry
  • Competent in the Microsoft 365 suite
  • Comfortable using computerized inventory or other ERP system

Nice To Haves

  • Previous retail experience considered a definite asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide best-in-class service to customers
  • Meet sales targets through sales and sales-related activities
  • Manage and follow up on quotes, orders and posted invoices
  • Keep sales environment organized and secure
  • Focus on various Vistek sales programs to enhance sales and customer value
  • Remain up to date on products through the company intranet, seminars, web, magazines, discussions with colleagues, membership in associations, etc.
  • Actively seek methods to increase your client database
  • Create optimal opportunities through: Offering complete solutions, including service plans to ensure assets, Quote management, Customer outreach and follow-up
  • Complete other duties, projects and tasks assigned
  • Provide support to Rentals Department when needed
