About The Position

The Phone Operator will serve patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts. This role optimizes patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments by telephone. The operator will keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying the provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays. The operator will comfort patients by anticipating their anxieties, answering their questions, and maintaining the reception area. This role ensures the availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records. The operator will maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. This role obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims. The operator will help patients in distress by responding to emergencies and protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. This is a full-time position with hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Fridays. We are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
