About The Position
Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician (MA-P) to perform phlebotomy, waived lab tests, automated CBCs, EKGs, and spirometry to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This role ensures accurate specimen collection, testing, documentation, and strong patient care. Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization.
Requirements
- Active WA State MA-P (Medical Assistant–Phlebotomist) certification required
- High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent)
- Must pass pre-hire competency test
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Strong customer service and phlebotomy skills
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws; ensure proper specimen handling
- Conduct EKGs and spirometry testing with proper calibration and documentation
- Process specimens for reference labs and maintain QC/QA logs
- Maintain inventory, equipment, and safe lab practices per CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA
- Communicate results and coordinate with providers and clinical staff
