About The Position

This position performs all duties of a Phlebotomist Tech II, including routine blood collection from patients of all age groups, including neonates and infants. The role also requires the knowledge and skills to work in the Laboratory’s specimen processing and receiving area, provide age-appropriate care to patients in the assigned area, and register patients and specimens.

Requirements

• At least one year of phlebotomy experience with all age groups.
• Current, active phlebotomy certification from a national agency.
• High school diploma, GED, or certificate.
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday, as well as random weekdays with 4 a.m. or 5 a.m. start times.

• Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with patients, staff, and other healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated ability to handle customer service questions and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of relevant computer skills for the patient identification system and specimen processing functions.
• Valid driver's license.
